Banjo Introduces Beta Entertainment Partnership Program

Blondie has had quite a ride with their recent tour and Banjo was right there with them as they promoted their new album “Panic of Girls.” We asked Blondie’s camp for some touring highlights…

blondie marc jacobs popup store promoted via banjo- Fashion Week NYC - Blondie exclusively announced a Marc Jacobs pop-up store and invited fans to find them on Banjo and come meet and hang out as they signed copies of “Panic of Girls.”

- The Tonight Show with Jay Leno - On an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Blondie connected with thousands of fans through Banjo. The band was psyched to discover a fan who had been waiting 20 years to give Blondie a scrap book. Talk about patience!

- Banjo VIP - Through Banjo, Blondie met a ton of new and old fans on the road during this tour. Once at a concert venue, Blondie would check the Banjo app to see who had tweeted or checked-in to their show. Once seeing the Banjo feed, they chose winners to come backstage and hang out with them. A huge surprise to a lot of the fans, as they were simply doing what a lot of people normally do on a regular basis… tweet and check-in.

This experience was such a success that it inspired CEO, Damien Patton, to pursue a more elaborate venture. Banjo is currently in the process of rolling out a Beta Entertainment Partnership Program. This initiative will help to connect bands with fans during tours, album releases and promotional events.  They will use Banjo’s location based mobile technology to discover and connect with fans in real time across multiple social networks, anywhere in the world.

What does this mean for normal Banjo users? Well, it just means that we’re bringing you one step closer to your favorite artists and celebrities! #WINNING

Stay tuned for more details on the project as additional announcements will be made at CMJ Music Marathon this week.
